Ainol novo 7 Tablets Revival

There were plenty of rumours exchanged on how the tablet will look like and what hardware will have, so to ensure a success in sales regardless of which will launch on the market. The maker has released after Chinese new year models have 2 distinct just interested what is used displays: Novo 7 Aurora  with IPS display and Novo 7 Elf II, identical to Aurora, but not IPS. ScreenTablet is equipped with a display type lcd with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a capacitive touchscreen on 5 simultaneous touch points. Touchscreen surface is slippery enough considering the fact that it is made of glass but acrylic material. For those who use intensively this model I recommend applying a foil shielding to protect from scratching. Display is of good quality, vivid color tones, brightness and depth as the minimum required to use both night and day. Not the visibility out excels in the sunlight but it is sufficient for the price it is framed. The viewing angles are good in 3 sections and kind of weak viewed from below upward in the direction buttons.

SoundOn this chapter it sits very well, small Elf was fitted with a single speaker with a rear slot located on the side, in an optimum position to be covered by palms and be dimmed tone. The volume is loud compared to the tablets, I noticed at one point and a modern bass in a video on youtube. The surround  in a room is excellent and in the headphones you will have pleasant surprises.

HardwareIn this chapter I knew what to expect, considering that before Elf-uli I rated Slim with IDEKO Vestro similar type Allwinner processor Cortex A8 A10. Do not repeat this processor features, just so: a very good processor. In this model, to be sure, I did the test hardware decoding videos and of course the Tablet ran without a hitch and fluent container formats, avi, mkv, mp4 1080p high profile. Tested in all videos (divx, xvid, 3gp, mov, etc, mkf) I have not managed to find one that does not work.

I liked that the Tablet is equipped with an engine vibration but I found that not only works on firmware version 4.0.1.

Elf’s battery capacity and LiFe 3700mah technology’s factory specs say we should ensure autonomy of 5-7 hours of work depending on how it is used. I wasn’t at all surprised after carrying out the test battery full, considering as its predecessor, which had a higher earned roll time greater than the manufacturer specs.

OSFor this tablet are available two versions of the firmware. One with 4.0.1 with android that comes installed by default, and another Tablet with android 2.3. I tested both versions of the Tablet firmware but the screenshots of the majority of the reviews were done with version 2.3 due to the program Screenshot It which refuses to work properly in version 4.0.1. Android version 4.0.1 I was pretty slow and seemed “eating” the battery, this situation  is changing in very well when I passed on android 2.3. I liked that the Tablet comes with a bunch of Chinese software by default, but with a little effort, root-and the Tablet I could get rid of them. In the version of android market pre-installed 4.0.1 there but looking for a little I found a script that installs the market and all applications google apps. On the other hand, version 1.4 comes preinstalled with all google applications.

After a few tens of minutes of use, I understand why you didn’t come with 4.0.1 market pre was installed. Android 4.0 Tablets are quite popular at the beginning and did not cover all aspects of the market and google applications, displaying every once in a while an error when the Tablet is set to auto sync. It bothered me a lot, however I’m not a fan of auto complete and which has the effect of rapid consumption of battery. I tested on both versions a few 3d games that ran flawlessly. I installed a couple of dedicated video players and found that the second version 4.0.1 appear superimposed subtitles decoder in hardware mode. This can solve the passing in the video decoder software if the player knows to do so (Mx Video Player). In version 4.0.1 flash does not work on any browser directly but only through external player (IE browser flash content, if any, shall be automatically launches video player with video).

Final impressions Tablet is very good, recommended to 3d gamers but at the same time and those who want to view multimedia content or to surf the internet!
