There are some obvious differences between talking to someone in the real world, and talking to someone on the internet, but being able to do both can help you to develop as a person.

Computers are also capable of making life better for families. With spreadsheet programs for example, a family can setup their budget or an email client can be used to keep in touch with family members on the other side of the world. The best thing about communication through email is that it can be done over a substantial period of time, as both parties do not have to be online at the exact same time. When you factor in the amount of stress and the pace of modern existence, using the internet to communicate does make things feel somewhat easier.
